  22. I have similar problems. At home, with USR 28.8, I have no problems.
  23. At work, with Cardinal14.4 MVP external, I have much trouble
  24. negotiating a connection, and thus get modem hangups before
  25. connecting. My service provider says the problem is with Rockwell
  26. chipsets, which apparently many brands of modems use, including
  27. Cardinal.
